How To Make A holiday Drink?

The holidays are here and guests are on their way.

What can I do for a healthy holiday drink that won’t scare everyone off?

No matter how hard you try you can’t please all the people all the time.  When I was serving on our local school board, one member and kind of my mentor Carl told me a secret.  He said, “when you make a decision half the people will love you for it and the other half will hate you for it.”  Boy was he right.  He also told me that since you can’t please everyone the best approach is to consider how your decision will best support the children and go with it.  That approach never left me feeling bad.

Serving juice at a holiday party will not please everyone, but it will please a few and could help them to consider improving their diet.

Here is an approach you might get away with.  Make a couple of your favorite juices and pour them into a couple of nice pitchers.   Then have small shot glasses or cups for them to try.  When they give you the thumbs up for their favorite, give them a wine glass for them to enjoy there healthy tasty drink.

Serve water, ice tea etc. for everyone else.

Happy holidays,

So that’s the case? Quite a revletaion that is.

  • Jim Freeman says:

    Hey Keith,
What juicer do you use? Can you recommend one as the best yet most economical ?

  • Jim, I use the Green Star juicer, its a little more than the Champion or Hurom but the juice is more potent and at my age I want the most nutrition from my juices that I can get.
If you click on the following banner that takes you to the HA web site, click on the shop link at the top of the page then click the Kitchen Equipment link and then Juicers. Sorry, I don’t have a direct link.

If you can’t find what you want there you can always do a Google search for Green Star, but in my research the prices at HA match every other one very close. If you are good at eBay etc. you may find a good deal for a used one, but know your prices first, so you don’t pay too much for a used one.
